I have been a car guy for all of my life, or at least as far back as I can remember. I knew I was hooked on automobiles at the age of 5 when my most prized possession was my Matchbox car collection. I’m truly a car hobbies for all automobiles, as hands on restoring is one of my stress relieving past times. I think I have restored everything from Corvettes, Chargers, Triumphs, to Mustangs.

I spent my working career of 40 years in the telecom industry retiring with a great shop and small collection of projects to keep me very busy. The Ford Mustang is definitely my classic car of choice, but I have been very privileged to have owned classic cars of all makes. Restoring and teaching restoration of classic Mustangs has always a way to satisfy the car guy itch, as I show people what not to do from the many mistakes I made along the way in the car hobby.

My dream car has always been a 1968 Shelby GT 350, and my favorite Mustang is the “Bullitt” movie car. I like the 1968 Mustang iconic movie car so much I have built two of them. I was very fortunate to see that real movie car that Steve McQueen actually drove in the movie “Bullitt” while I was at SEMA in Las Vegas a few years back.

My love for the Mustang found me with the Alberta Mustangs Auto Club where I have been a member for 21 years now and have had the honour to hold the position of President twice. I continue to work with the AMAC members to attend and build our Mustang themed entry at the Club Displays featured at the World of Wheels each year, and that’s where you will usually find me in mid-February each year.

My passion for the classic car hobby brings me to the SVAA to support and assist all the car guys with similar interests
