Safety Check 2024
Safety focus continues
The SVAA is dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoy-
ment of all antique, collector, vintage and specialty vehicles. SVAA
has been doing vehicle safety checks since our formation in 1974—
for 50 years !!!
For 2024 SVAA Safety check contest continues and is open to SVAA member clubs with
three size based participation categories. This is a visual only safety check only no compo-
nents of the vehicle need to be removed. The SVAA Safety Check is a curtsey check of ve-
hicles provided by independent volunteers. Liability for operation of a safe vehicle re-
mains with the owner at all times. The SVAA Safety Checklist was used for each safety
check and provided to the owner after the check. A $5 per club member inspection 2025
membership credit would be awarded to one participating club in each category com-
pleting and submitting a Club safety check . One club in each category gets selected !
For category 1 – Clubs with 25 or less members
For category 2 - Clubs with 26 to 50 members
For category 3 –Clubs with > 50 members
Forms and stickers are available by contacting any SVAA board member.
APAC Coffee and Safety check event is the 1st recorded for
2024. MG Club of Calgary has also done an event. Please
send results (# of Safety checks) to Safety@SVAAlberta.com
Event Certificate of Insurance
Minimum processing is to ten BUSINESS days
When an organization asks your club to be included on the event insurance policy, SVAA
has a simple process that now needs 2 weeks (10 business days not counting weekends)
to get a Certificate of Insurance (COI) If you need it done, please do it today.
